The vehicle
Aurum’s armored fleet runs on the Jeep Commander. The choice is practical: it is an ordinary SUV on Rio’s streets, visually indistinguishable from any other. A car that draws attention by its looks works against its own purpose.
Armored glass and structure change the weight, braking distance and cornering behaviour of the vehicle. Driving one properly takes a chauffeur used to that specific car, not merely a licensed driver — it does not handle like an everyday vehicle.

Do I need an armored car for an airport transfer?
In most cases, no. The route from Galeão to the South and West Zones runs on expressways, and a conventional executive vehicle handles it well. Armoring is justified by the passenger’s profile or a company requirement, not by the route itself.
Is an armored car much more expensive?

Can I keep the armored car for several days?
